Youth and Young Adults Ministry
The Youth Ministry is one of the most active and fastest growing age groups in Life in Christ, and is currently headed by Bro. Robby and Sis. Venel Landicho. The Youth Ministry is composed of teenagers aged 13-20, and its members participate in most of LIC’s services and programs.
For instance, during the Sunday morning services at the LIC Worship Center, several members of the Youth Ministry also hold Sunday School classes to children in a separate service. During the annual Easter Family Camps, members of the Youth Ministry assist in the distribution of food and refreshments to the camp’s participants, while also serving as marshals during Christmas parties and other church gatherings.
Aside from this, members of the Youth Ministry also actively participate in LIC’s annual Hospital Visitation, Crusades, and various Seminars, while also having programs of their own such as the LIC Youth Camp in 2009, fund-raising projects, distribution of tracts, and a discipleship meeting of their own, where its members are trained to establish a deeper relationship with Jesus.
Young Adults Ministry
The Young Adults Ministry or the Faith Builders Group started in early 2011 as a result of the burden God gave the members of LIC to reach out to their co-workers in their respective officers and workplaces, and in other areas. Members of this group also minister to people they can connect with.
The group derived its name from its goal of building up the believers’ faith and reaching the lost for God, targeting mostly the working class by penetrating various offices and workplaces.
The Faith Builders, headed by Bro. Ramon Rentoria, has organized a non-traditional Fellowship meeting called “Chill-Out” Dinner Fellowship, where its members invite their friends and workmates to listen to the Word of God – not in an actual church setting.
Its first meeting was held in October 1, 2011, at the Life in Christ Worship Center, but subsequent meetings have since been held at McDonald’s El Pueblo, Ortigas, Pasig City.
Another project of the Faith Builders group is a “Coffee Fest” held at the parking area of the Cabrera Building where the LIC Worship Center is situated. Here, passers-by were given coffee by LIC volunteers while sharing their own testimonies.
